Who Are We?

A Safe Space to Be Heard, Understood and Valued

Havilah Social Work and Counselling Services provides compassionate, trauma-informed support for individuals seeking healing, growth and meaningful change. We recognise that every person’s story is unique and offer a respectful, supportive space where people can feel heard, understood and empowered. Our approach integrates therapeutic counselling, social work, mental health coaching, psychoeducation and practical support, drawing on evidence-based and person-centred approaches. We support clients experiencing trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, various life challenges and periods of transition. At Havilah Social Work and Counselling Services, we walk alongside clients as they rediscover their strengths and identity, build resilience, develop hope and move forward towards a meaningful future.

Our Mission

At Havilah Social Work and Counselling Services, our mission is to provide accessible, compassionate and evidence-informed support that promotes healing, empowerment and whole-person wellbeing.

We are committed to creating opportunities for people to actively engage in their own growth and recovery through personalised counselling, coaching, psychoeducation and therapeutic interventions. Guided by ethical practice, respect for individual dignity and a commitment to inclusion, we welcome people from diverse backgrounds and circumstances, including NDIS participants.

Our work is informed by a bio-psychosocial and, where desired, spiritual framework that recognises the interconnected nature of psychological, social, physical and spiritual wellbeing. Grounded in Christian values while remaining inclusive of all people, we seek to foster hope, resilience, personal responsibility and meaningful change.
Looking to the future, Havilah is committed to growing towards a more comprehensive model of support for people recovering from trauma and life-altering experiences, with a vision of contributing to lasting healing, restoration and stronger communities.

Our Vision

Our vision is to build Havilah Social Work and Counselling Services into a respected and trusted practice that continues to grow in its capacity to meet the changing needs of individuals and communities. Looking to the future, we aspire to expand into a more comprehensive and integrated service, offering specialised support to people navigating the impacts of trauma and significant life-changing experiences.

Through this growth, we envisage the future development of the Havilah Trauma Recovery Centre—a place dedicated to supporting recovery, restoration and the rebuilding of lives.
